The Day Jesus Asked For My Prayer Request
One morning I was dreaming when Jesus asked me in my sleep for me to contact Jonathon Edwards, the American medium. I asked Jesus in my sleep, how to do that and Jesus told me just to say his name.
I said his name and he came online and the Lord then directed me to tell him to turn from his life of sin and to stop acting as a medium. After I delivered this message I awoke and I was wide awake, a state that normally takes a few hours of a few strong coffees.
I asked Jesus, "Did that really happen?"
"Yes it did Matthew," The Lord replied.
"Now I want you to ask me for something, Jesus said. "You never ask me for anything and now I want you to ask for something."
I felt like Solomon being asked for a prayer request that the Lord was going to answer.
I had a careful thought for a while. I thought of the prophecy in Joel where it said sons and daughters will prophesy and men will see dreams and visions and I asked the Lord Jesus could I experience prophetic dreams and could I experience visions.
Well, let me say firstly that not everyone is ever asked by Jesus for a prayer request, but that morning seeing that I was asked I made sure not to waste it. I believe with all my heart that the verse that is in Joel and quoted in Acts was put in my mind by the Holy Spirit. I believe the Lord Jesus asked me what I wanted and then the Holy Spirit gave me a clue what to ask for.
Since that day in about 2002 I have been fortunate to have five visions where I was transported in my mind to heaven and experienced views and met people up there. I was still on the earth in my body, but in my mind a picture played of heaven and I was able to speak to and interact with Jesus and other people up there. Each of the experiences was memorable for me.
I have encountered angels on earth in these past years. Though a former friend does not believe it, I have encountered both Michael the arch angel and Gabriel on earth. My former friend says that such important angels would not visit me and it seems to have merit what he says, save that Jesus himself have visited me on many occasions and I feel Jesus is more important in the Kingdom of God then Michael.
Some would like to part with me right here and say I am speaking heresy and that Jesus Christ does not come to earth but sits at the right hand side of the Father and does not leave his throne to come and appear to men.
People might also be interested in the fact that one time I asked Jesus if he could bring with him visitors from heaven. From that time on Jesus brought people out of the Bible to the earth to me in visions. At one time, my former friend who has now decided to distance himself from me saw about fifteen of these people from heaven and for over an hour brought their words to me as I questioned them.
I also have had a number of dreams that speak of my future or a future I hope will happen. Three times I have dreamt that my former wife had come back to me and I was meeting my son again. I choose to believe that these dreams are an answer to that prayer that morning, as they are the only dreams I have had of the future.
I encourage you to pray to the Lord and ask for dreams and visions and perhaps the Lord Jesus will be good to you also.
I might add for the skeptical that Peter and John saw the dead Moses and Elijah on the mount with Jesus. It is possible. John even encountered a prophet/angel as a guide through the book of Revelation. In Revelation 22 the angel says that his a prophet.
Pray and see what the Lord can do for you.
