Hepatitis C is a recently discovered viral disease of the liver. It is transmitted by blood to blood contact. In this case by having a tattoo. Symptoms include severe debilitation, extreme tiredness, joint pains and weight loss. It has been known to lead to liver cancer. Symptoms are exacerbated by concurrent infection with Hepatitis B or A.
Here is a testimony of salvation and healing of Hepatitis C by simple faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever
My name is Sharon. In 1995 I was scheduled for major surgery (a hysterectomy); and, being a Nurse decided to donate my own blood to have on hand.
Whilst I was recovering from the operation, I received a letter from the Red Cross telling me I had Hepatitis C, and should visit my Doctor.
I became frantic. At that time there wasn't much scientific knowledge about the disease. Antibodies to the virus were first identified only in 1990. I tried to gather all the information I could from many sources. I studied the material waiting for my appointment. My General Practitioner referred me to a Gastroenterologist. When I arrived, I had more information about Hepatitis C than he did. (He even took copies of my material.)
I began to prepare for the worst, and was concerned about my husband and three children. All my children tested negative, but my husband preferred not to know, and was not tested. My hormones were mixed up following the hysterectomy, and I felt at the end of my tether.
A Psychologist examined me, and commented that I had exceptional coping mechanisms, but needed Prozac (an antidepressant). However it was contraindicated due to my liver condition. So I did not take any medication.
We were not sure how I contracted the Hepatitis virus. At first we assumed I'd caught it from a patient during my nursing duties. Research has shown that symptoms tend to appear 10-15 years after infection. Hepatitis C is spread by blood to blood contact such as blood transfusion, intravenous drug usage, body piercing and tattooing. Eventually we concluded from my lab results that I caught it from a tattoo I received in 1982.
I lost my desire to be a nurse, and considered claiming disability allowance, but found I didn't qualify.
The Specialist carried out blood tests, monitoring my enzyme and antibody levels for about a year. When I had recovered from my surgery, I tried to work again, but found I was too tired, withdrawn, and depressed.
The vague symptoms of Hepatitis C gradually became more severe, and my blood chemistry deteriorated.
The Specialist gave me a 15 year life-expectancy, and a choice. Simply continue to watch the blood test results or begin Interferon treatment. (Which has powerful side-effects.) Since I was only in my mid-30's, and desperate, I opted for the treatment.
Knowing how serious liver disease is, I did not want to die without a fight. A liver biopsy showed 'mild inflammation,' indicating that the damaging phase was only just beginning. My Medical Insurance Company reluctantly agreed to foot the huge bill for the course of Interferon. ($80 for each injection, and I needed three a week.)
I injected myself every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday night, and went straight to bed to try to sleep through the nasty side-effects. You can imagine the effect of this on my social and family life, not to mention my work. But I continued to struggle through work as long as I could.
My hair began to fall out. I lost my appetite, and developed a sore throat and stomach that required medication. I felt weak, and lost 25 pounds body weight.
After the eighth month of injections, my immune system bottomed out. My white blood cell count fell to the dangerously low 3,000 level, and platelets 10,000.
I was transferred to a less strenuous clerical position, but my employers told me that they could not pay me a Registered Nurses' salary unless I worked as a Nurse.
The Doctor had to stop my injections due to the dangerous blood results.
The first Sunday out of work, my 14 year old Christian daughter wanted to go to Church, but had no transport. Although I hadn't attended Church since being a teenager I told all three children to get ready to go to Church.
Many of my co-workers had been telling me about Jesus, encouraging me to seek Him, and were praying for me. At the time I had a strange intuition that I should go to the service.
The sermon that day at First Free Will Baptist Church , NC. USA, was entitled, "Dr Jesus!"
Pastor Wayne King used the verses from the Holy Bible:
Jesus said, If you abide in me and my words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. Jn. 15:7 NKJV
And, Confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. James 5:16
I felt as if God sent me just to hear the message, that HE is The Great Physician, and can heal any sick person who calls on Him.
During the meeting, I received Christ as my personal Saviour, and experienced an immediate sense of peace and love for Jesus in my heart.
I could actually feel the Holy Spirit enter my heart, right there and then! It is hard to explain... it was a feeling of great power entering my heart, mind, body and soul that gave me peace, trust, and sense of belonging and purpose.

About the time 'Hurricane Fran' devastated Wilson in 1996 I returned to work with new energy.
My blood test results became normal.
My job prevented me attending Sunday Services, so I went to Church on Wednesdays.

I was hungry for God's Word. As the Pastor explained the Holy Bible to us so clearly, I felt spiritually nourished. The more I understood, the more I wanted.
I started with the very clear 'Living Bible' translation, then went on to the King James Version.
I always pray for God to help me understand the Bible. Also I met weekly with a lady Elder of the Church, and developed a close relationship with her. A month after I was saved, I asked the Pastor about water baptism. Christ commanded the first disciples to baptise new believers in water.
Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Mtt 28:19
He who believes, and is baptised will be saved. Mk 16:16
Public baptism by full immersion is an act of obedience symbolizing cleansing and new life through faith in Jesus Christ.
God gave His Only begotten Son, who lived and died on the Cross, rose from the dead, and lives today!
The moment anyone receives Christ as Saviour believing this, God cleanses them of all sins, and gives them eternal life. (See 2 Corinthians 5:15-17; John 1:25-38; Colossians 2:2-12)
After telling him how I'd received Christ as Saviour, the Pastor kindly agreed to a Wednesday night baptism. (His first, to fit in with my work schedule.) I became a Church Member, and have been a dedicated Saint ever since.
Not long after I was saved, my Mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. She had been 'sprinkled' as a young adult, but rededicated her life to Christ, and was baptised the Bible way at our Church in 1995.
My sister was deeply affected by Mom's illness, and became a nervous wreck. She was a Buddhist.
In the hospital, I told her to come with me into the Chapel. There we prayed for the Lord to lift our burdens and sorrows. And He did. Within two weeks, my sister began attending Church, because she noticed the change in me. She was soon saved and baptised too.
Then my 9 year old son did the same. My 15 year old son only attends under duress. Likewise my husband to keep the 'peace'. I continue to pray for their salvation, and encourage you to receive Christ today.
I share this true story with everyone I can, to spread the joy I have because of what Jesus has done for me. Saving me from sin, sickness, and death. The miracle Jesus did for me, He will do for anyone who believes.
Just Ask and believe! (Romans 10:9; 10:13; Jn.14:6; 1 Co 15:3-4)
Postscript:
Today I take no medication. All my laboratory results have remained normal, including my liver enzymes, and blood counts. I have also replaced all the weight I lost.
Miraculously the 'incurable' Hepatitis C virus is undetectable in my blood. God has healed me. Praise Him!

sore throat is not a lot of fun its just uncomfortable and difficult to swallow.
ReplyDeleteusually, i would take the Nim Jiom Cough Syrup (www.geocities.jp/ninjiom_hong_kong/index_e.htm ) which has a thick consistency formulation. it coats the throat and includes herbs that are particularly good for that application.
i hope it works on you as well.
