Amazed at Their Lack of Faith

Here's my thought about...

The Webster's dictionary explains lack as meaning a deficiency or absence, and to be without or be wanting. I wonder sometimes how many people are in lack ( a spiritual deficiency or the absence thereof.) The Bible speaks to us about the lack of Faith. Let's find examples in the Bible, so we can know when and how we waver in this area. In the Book Psalms 119:158 it says I look on the faithless with loathing, for they do not obey your word. See how I love your precepts; preserve my life, O lord, according to your love. All your words are true; all your righteous laws are eternal.

Now it says in the book of Hosea 14:1 Return, O Israel, to the Lord your God. Your sins have been your downfall! Take words with you and return to the Lord. Say to him; Forgive all our sins and receive us graciously, that we may offer the fruit of our lips.

Amazed at their lack of Faith. In the book of Matthew there are many examples. At chapter 12:11 it says He said to them, If any of you has a sheep and it falls into a pit on the Sabbath, will you not take hold of it and lift it out? How much more valuable s a man than a sheep! Therefore it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath. In the same book of Matthew chapter 13:57 says And they took offence at him. But Jesus said to them, Only in his hometown and in his own house is a prophet without honor. And he did not do many miracles there because of their lack of faith. (What a loss). Continuing in the book of Matthew 23:10 At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

Again Jesus was amazed at their lack of faith in the book of Mark 6:4 it says Jesus said to them, Only in his hometown, among his relatives and in his own hose is a prophet without honor. He could not do any miracles there, except lay his hands on a few sick people and heal them. And he was amazed at their lack of faith.

Now in the book of Romans it explains the faithless. In chapter 1:28 says Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done. They have become filled with every king of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, slanders, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents, they are senseless, faithless, heartless, ruthless. Although they know God's righteous decree that those who do these very things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.

Here is a trustworthy saying: If we died with him, we will also live with him; if we endure, we will also reign with him. If we disown him, he will also disown us; if we are faithless, he will remain faithful, for he cannot disown himself. From the book of 2Timothy 2:11.

Also in the book of 2Timothy 2:15 says Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth. Avoid godless chatter, because those who indulge in it will become more and more ungodly.

Remember that God if Faithful it says in the book of 1Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it. In Romans 14:22 says So whatever you believe about these things keep between yourself and God. Blessed is the man who does not condemn himself by what he approves. But the man who has doubts is condemned if he eats, because his eating is not from faith; and everything that does not come from faith is sin.

These are the words I believe in they are in the book of 2Corinthians 5:6. It says Therefore we are always confident and know that as long as we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord. We live by faith, not by sight.
